Flour Babies

As part of their PSHE learning and further linking to an assembly theme of ‘Trust’, over the next two weeks, the children must share the responsibility of caring for their small bag of flour with 4 chosen friends. With a task of naming it, decorating it and ensuring it stays in tip top condition.  A mighty challenge has been set.

Already a range of amazing ideas have sprung to light with children caring for their flour babies as if they were newborn infants!

The children will be writing diaries over the next fortnight to describe their feelings and adventures with their newest addition!

Deputy Phase Leader and Year 6 teacher Kirstin Swanson commented, “It has been fantastic to see the children’s imagination come to light through this idea.  We look forward to seeing just how many flour babies remain intact after two weeks!”
