Cycle Safety Counts

The children learn the importance of having a bicycle that is safe for the road and how to complete safety checks before riding.  It is then onto the road to ride safely and indicate intentions correctly.  The children have theoretical work alongside the practical and once achieved a certificate is awarded.

Headteacher Elaine Radley commented. “It is crucial that children learn to ride their bikes safely, as the weather becomes warmer and the school holidays become closer, more and more children will be riding on the roads.  The children thoroughly enjoyed  their Bikeability training.  The skills learnt are vital, we are pleased so many children opted to do the course and we are very grateful to the trainers who support this initiative.”
