An awesome place to play and learn.

The whole process from designing and building, to the end product has been a valuable learning experience for all the children. They are really looking forward to learning in the outdoor kitchen and walk- in sand pit, climbing and den building and writing on our fantastic outdoor mark making wall. Children are so happy and relaxed in the outdoors and they love the freedom of exploring in an open environment. This week the children have already helped to build their own bug hotel, construct shelters for hibernating animals, found hidden numbers to peg onto our number washing line and used the wheel barrows and tools for a spot of autumn leave clearing! We can’t wait for next week when we transform the role play into Percy the Park keeper’s hut!

Bourne Westfield would like to say a huge thank you to Nicola Longland, one of our parents for the original design and to Waterside Garden Centre who donated the lovely silver birch trees.
