Rotakids Face their Fears

To face this fear, nine representatives of RotaKids, all who are afraid of heights, journeyed to Tallington Lakes where they tobogganed from the tallest ski slope! On the journey there, the pupils were nervous and squealed when they approached the slope. However, they were soon put at ease by their instructor, Jess, who explained to them what to do and how to get the most speed going down the slope. By the end of their session, all the RotaKids were whizzing down the slopes freely and had all definitely conquered their fear! RotaKids Co-ordinator, Emma Desbruslais commented, “I was so proud of all the children who took part, they truly conquered their fear and raised money for an excellent cause! A special thanks to Tallington Lakes Centre who gave the RotaKids free access to

their slope and the assistance of an instructor when they were informed the RotaKids were raising money for such an amazing local charity. This event could not have taken place without the generosity of Tallington, so a huge thank you is deserved!”
