On Monday afternoon classes from nursery, KS1 and KS2 met to get 'lost' in the world of books and book talk. The children thoroughly enjoyed reading and sharing some of their favourite stories including fiction and non-fiction books, poetry books and comic books. The classrooms were 'buzzing' with the sound of children reading aloud in imaginative ways and it was inspiring seeing them take on different character roles.
One of our reading ambassadors from Year 1 said 'I loved this afternoon and my partner enjoyed my comic book. I can't wait to do it again!.' We will continue to spread the love and joy that books bring throughout the year and have many more reading events planned.
