Reading for Pleasure

As part of the school’s Reading for Pleasure journey, Bourne Westfield welcomed parents into school last week to share a book with their child. The school has recently gained a Bronze Award in the Lincolnshire Reading Pledge and is looking to gain further awards next year.

Year 1 teacher and reading lead, Shannan Hibbins, commented, “It was great to see how many parents joined us for this event - the children were so excited. We can’t wait to continue these next year.”

All children thoroughly enjoyed the time parents spent with them, showing how exciting and inspiring reading can be.”
