Remembering VE Day

The children enjoyed a fun morning learning about why VE day is celebrated. We talked about the United Kingdom and the Union flag and children made bunting to decorate our classroom and flags to wave in our special assembly.

We iced and ate biscuits whilst wearing our party hats. Children were excited to wear red white and blue or 1940s clothes and we danced and listened to music from this time.  Children were heard to say "this is the most fun day ever!" and "this is such a great day!"
