Children were thrilled to see science come alive in many different shows and interactive events at the recent Bourne SciFest in Term 1.
Nursery and Reception children were introduced to a number of creatures from ZooLab and shown the differences in behaviour and habitat and told how to look after the animals.
Year 1 and 2 children enjoyed 'Science Magic' where children were amazed by some super magic tricks based around science.
Year 3 and 4 children explored the science of Climate Change in a fun and entertaining show.
Children in Year 5 were wowed by StarLincs which brings an exciting visual display of the night into our school.
Animals UK brought the wonder of the animal kingsom to life in the classroom for Year 6 children, giving children an opportunity to see, hold and learn about a variety of animals.
SciFest is supported and sponsored by local businesses and they have been very generous in helping the children at Bourne Westfield Primary Academy to enjoy this amazing week of school events free of charge. SciFest is a charity organisation that ensures that primary schools and academies, local to Bourne, can take part in a fantastic Science experience every two years. We are already looking forward to 2026!
