This week Year 2 went on a walk around Bourne to look at how people stay safe. This was linked to our English text ‘Hodgeheg’ where Max the hedgehog wants to find the secret to crossing the road safely. This also linked with our Geography key question this term ‘How do you stay safe in Bourne?’
The children looked at the zebra crossings, pelican crossings, traffic lights, road markings, the police station and the amount of traffic on different roads.
The children also got to visit the Bourne memorial on the Wellhead. Next week in English the children will be writing back to Max the hedgehog to tell him what they saw and found out.
