On Wednesday, 9 boys from Year 5 went to Bourne Academy to take part in a school games event. Kin-Ball is a new up and coming sport played world-wide using giant balls/balloons. The aim of the game is to keep the ball off the floor. Our boys took part in lots of different warm up activities and games to help teach the skills required. Alongside this, they learnt the basic rules and the importance of teamwork and communication to be successful. In the afternoon they participated in friendly matches against other local schools.
Mrs Anderson reported that it was a day filled with fun, laughter, teamwork, respect, determination and passion. The icing on the cake was to witness such a growth in personal self confidence in all the pupils during the event. They were a pleasure to take out of school, demonstrating the best of the Westy Way. Well done to all involved and thank you to Mrs Hibbins for her side-line support and Mrs Clipson-Cox for walking down with us.
