Year 6 Art

Published: 20th October 2023

Year 6 pupils have been learning about the life and work or William Morris this term and comparing his work to other print artists such as Barron and Larcher.  They learnt about what influenced their work and how they wanted their art to be accessible in peoples’ homes. The children had the opportunity to experimented with different printing techniques and practise braying before creating their own reduction print using tiles.  The technique wasn’t easy as the children had to ‘over print’ on their original pieces.  They were amazed by the results as their hard work and patience paid off.
